Diwali Mela 2021

Indian Association of Northern Italy presents DIWALI MELA - EAT, PLAY, DANCE !
The grand Diwali Event of Milan in 2021 was celebrated on 7th November at Idroscalo Milano. The ESSENCE of INDIA with Cultural Programmes, Indian Food Carnival and Games was accompanied with Kardmum Junction creating all the buzz at Idroscalo.

The stall of Kardmum Junction at the Food Mela was a success with people appreciating the taste of the food, the professional service and the essence of South Indian food.
It was definitely a Diwali to Remember.
Diwali Festival
November 4th
The Festival of Light is one of the most celebrated festivals in India. Diwali symbolizes the spiritual "Victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance”.
We hosted an Eventful Diwali Dinner at the restaurant which was graced by a performance of the most popular art form in Kerala, Kathakali.
It was performed by Mario Barzaghi, a famous Italian Kathakali Dancer, who learned this art from Kalamandalam in Kerala and performed the Story of Parashurama.
Opening Day Bonanza
October 7th - 9th
We inaugurated our restaurant with a 3-day long Dinner Bonanza, with a curated fixed menu for people to understand our story and concept.
The event saw over 150 people that attended through the 3 days making it a lively and vibrant event.
Live Cricket World Cup Screening
Cricket is the most popular and watched sport in India and what would be better than to host a Live Screening of the Cricket World Cup which all the Cricket fans would enjoy watching.
We hosted live screenings of 3 great World cup fixtures in which one of them was between India and Pakistan which is the most watched Cricket Fixture in the world. This screening saw over 70 people attending making the restaurant Housefull and full of enjoyment.
Karwa Chauth Festival
October 24th
The festival of Karwa Chauth celebrates the bond of love and marriage. On Karwa Chauth, women observe a fast from sunrise to moonrise and pray for the longevity and prosperity of their husbands. We hosted a prayer and Henna tattoo session at the restaurant which gave a very homely and traditional vibe for everyone.
